DiSCovery - Understanding and Appreciating Different Work Styles
Are you looking to better communicate and build quality relationships with work colleagues, staff, prospects and clients? This workshop utilises the Everything DiSC ® model to help business owners, managers and staff better understand their own behavioural styles and those with whom they work. Particpants complete an Everything DiSC© Workplace profile in advance of the session.
Topics covered include:
- Understanding the nature and impact of your own and others' work styles
- Learning and applying "People Reading" skills
- Understanding how to use the information to improve your relationships with colleagues, staff, clients and others.
Navigating Difficult Conversations
Working with others inevitably means having to navigate the occasionally difficult conversation, be it with a customer, your manager/staff members or a fellow team member. This session provides participants with tips, tools and confidence to help achieve the best possible outcomes.
Topics include:
- Identifying and preparing for potenially difficult conversations
- Understanding the needs of others and expressing your own needs
- Listening and questioning techniques
- Managing particular issues - hostility/anger, passivity, distress/upset
Introducing the Success Through People Model© (for Teams)
This session provides an opportunity for teams to work together to identify and plan for the improvement, utilising the Success Through People Model© as a framework.
Topics include:
- An introduction to the Success Through People Model©
- Facilitated discussion as to how the team is presently performing in relation to the model. Which elements are well-covered, and which elements do we need to work on?
- Prioritising and planning for improvement.
Introduction to the 5 Dysfunctions of a Team (for intact teams)*
This session introduces participants to Patrick Lencioni's "Five Dysfunctions of a Team" model as a means to improve the cohesion and functioning of teams. This particular session is designed for intact teams, and includes:
- An overview of the Five Dysfunctions of a Team:
- Absence of Trust
- Fear of Conflict
- Lack of Commitment =
- Avoidance of Accountability, and
- Inattention to Results
- Reflecting on current performance of the team in the context of the model
- Identifying and prioritising opportunities for further exploration and improvement
